our swell year in review: gratitude, growth, & goals

As the year comes to an end, Wendi and I have been spending some time reflecting on 2024 and prepping for 2025.

Earlier this week, we set aside an entire day for what we called a “Swell Workshop.” We dug into our wins, losses, and everything in between—and wow, it was so nice to take a step back and see how far we’ve come. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day hustle, but looking at the bigger picture made us realize just how much growth we’ve had—both as a company and as individuals.

One of the biggest things we tackled was aligning on our mission, vision, and values. I know, I know… it’s probably something we should’ve nailed down ages ago. But hey, better late than never, right? It was actually really cool to see how our different perspectives and priorities came together into something that feels true to both of us and the future of Swell.

We also got to work on our “master plan” for 2025. We built out a big-picture campaign calendar that takes into account not just our own seasonality, but our clients’ as well. We also made a game plan to roll out some fun new services we’ve been cooking up (stay tuned!) and talked about ways to better serve our clients and community.

Taking the time to reflect has honestly left me feeling super grateful and at peace as we close out the year. For the first time in a while, I feel like I can confidently log off and spend some real quality time with family this week. (Let’s be real—being a business owner means there’s always something to do, but I’m giving myself permission to rest a little!)

I hope you all get a chance to soak in this time of year and enjoy the season with the people you love. Wishing you the happiest holidays and an amazing start to the new year!
